Administration

 

The Administration Team works ensures smooth day to day operation of the school. As well as bringing a rich contribution of educational knowledge and experience, the administration has experience in cross cultural education, business and pastoral work.

 

Andrew Micklefield, B. Ed, MA (candidate) – Principal


After completing an Education Degree at the University of Winnipeg, Andrew served as a pastor for eleven years before coming to The King's School in 2011. Andrew has visited nine countries, as well as the Canadian Arctic. He has spoken at numerous conferences, and has ongoing friendships with pastors and educators around the world. He is working on his Manitoba Education recognized School Administrator’s Certificate, and has completed a significant portion of a Master's Degree.

 

Elizabeth Castelli, B. Ed, TC, PBCE, MA (candidate) – Vice Principal,

 

Elizabeth completed her post-secondary education at Collège universitaire de Saint Boniface.  Elizabeth has taught for a number of years, working in Cameroon, Guatemala and Canada.  She has worked as a mathematics and languages teacher, as well as a resource teacher.  She has worked in immersion, international and mission schools.  Liz has given numerous workshops for teacher professional development.  She joined The King’s School in 2011. 

 

Marlene Schroeder, B. Ed  – Vice Principal, K-6

 

Juliano Silva, MBA – Office Manager


Juliano comes from Brazil with an extensive background in business administration and marketing.  Juliano has a bachelor degree in Administration, Post graduation in Information Technology and an MBA in Marketing from ESADE Barcelona, Spain. Juliano  carries  a heart for Christian Education and has served at The King's School for eight years.

Val Micklefield, B.A. B. Ed – Vice Principal, Transitional Program


Valerie Micklefield attended London Bible College, and graduated in Education from the Universities of Nottingham (UK) and Winnipeg. She has taught in a wide variety of settings in the UK and Canada, from inner city to rural, in both secular and Christian contexts.  More recently she was principal of a small Christian school in Ontario, and currently is Vice Principal of The King’s School Transitional Program, working with newcomer students from war-affected countries.  She and her husband John – a pastor at Gateway Church – came to Canada in 1989.  They have 3 grown children and four grandchildren.
