The King’s School encourages the involvement of parents in their child(ren’s) education. There are a variety of areas in which parents are able to participate on a volunteer basis:
· Becoming a Teacher’s Assistant (T.A.). A T.A. is a valuable asset to the School and assists a classroom teacher in their day to-day class activities which can include reading with students, marking tests, photocopying etc.
· If there is a resource or skill that you possess that would be beneficial to the school, we would love to know about it. Parents have been a great blessing to the school in many areas including art, drama, coaching, driving, lunchtime supervision, phone calling, fundraising co-ordination, event helpers, hearing & vision screening assistants, library volunteers, etc.
· Fundraising has become a necessary function that is a part of every school. Raising funds for a school trip, building project, playground equipment, mission trip or other event, or goals, requires the help of many in order to be a success. The King’s School asks that all parents be involved with fundraising in a proactive way in order for these goals to be achieved.
